PEDRO VOLTA
About the Artist
Pedro Volta is a Spanish illusionist with an impressive professional history. He began performing on television at the age of 17, and since then has been seen on over 11 programs. In 2007, he appeared in the film The Illusionist, demonstrating a trick where he separates a head from its body. In 2008, he was invited to the prestigious magic event NADA X AQUÍ to demonstrate a magical escape. Pedro produces his own magical performances in Columbus Plaza in Madrid as well as in the Circle of Fine Arts of Madrid and in numerous cultural centers across the nation. In 2008, he performed in the Young Theater Awards for the Coca-Cola Foundation, and in May, 2009, he toured eight Spanish theaters to present the awards for that competition. He has worked with innumerable businesses and events such as Telefónica, Bank of Galicia, Adif, Coca-Cola, BMW, Movistar, and others. Besides being the guest artist at magic festivals in Leganes, Malaga, Madrid, A Coruña, and more, Pedro Volta also participated in the Galician Circuits of Magic I, II, and III. Before coming to Washington in November for the Euro Kids Festival, Pedro Volta was one of the invited magicians to the International Festival MAGIALDIA in September.
