• NSO Young Associates' Program

  Washington, D.C. metropolitan area high school students learn more about life as a professional musician and the business of arts management.

• NSO Young Soloists' Competition

  Winners of this competition perform as a soloists with the National Symphony Orchestra.

• Summer Music Institute (SMI)

  The Summer Music Institute offers talented high school musicians four weeks of private lessons, rehearsals, and coaching by National Symphony Orchestra members.

• NSO American Residencies

  Unique touring program in which the NSO makes a state or a region the focus of a host of performances and educational activities.

  Residency initiative that will give both Universityof Maryland performance majors and music educators the opportunity to garner hands-on experience with the NSO.
