Opportunities for Students

• Concerts for School Groups

  Performances for school groups are designed to expand the students' and teachers' understanding of the National Symphony Orchestra and music.

• Instrument "Petting Zoos"

  Children (and their parents) have the chance to get up close and personal with the orchestral instruments they will see professionally played on stage.

• NSO American Residencies

  Unique touring program in which the NSO makes a state or a region the focus of a host of performances and educational activities.

• NSO University of Maryland Residency

  Residency initiative that will give both University of Maryland performance majors and music educators the opportunity to garner hands-on experience with the NSO.
