About the Program

The Pops season concludes with something seemingly impossible: The Beatles performing with the National Symphony Orchestra. Classical Mystery Tour features former Beatlemania performers Jim Owen (John Lennon) on rhythm guitar, piano, and vocals; Tony Kishman (Paul McCartney) on bass guitar, piano, and vocals; and Tom Teeley (George Harrison) on lead guitar and vocals; and Liverpool (a Beatles tribute band) member Chris Camilleri (Ringo Starr) on drums and vocals. Martin Herman conducts the Orchestra in this program of unbeatable Beatles hits, from the mop-top days to the explorations of the yellow submarine.
