In 2002, Billy Joel handpicked Michael Cavanaugh to star in his Tony-winning collaboration with Twyla Tharp, the Broadway production Movin' Out. Now, after taking the mic some 1,200 times over 3 years in the "Piano Man" role, Cavanaugh brings Joel's music to the Kennedy Center stage. With the NSO Pops conducted by Steven Reineke, Cavanaugh performs a program featuring platinum hits spanning Joel's landmark four-decade career.
