National Partnerships Home

Performances for Young Audiences National Sites seek to foster the development and presentation of high quality performing arts and related cultural experiences for young people and their families in communities throughout the nation. Performances for Young Audiences Goals:

To demonstrate the value of the performing and visual arts as essential to learning through year-round educational programs and services for young people and their families.
To develop partnerships between the community’s arts and cultural resources and its schools, businesses, professional organizations, and local government that encourage and support life-long learning through participation in the cultural life of the community.
To stimulate imagination and creativity in young people through the presentation of performances, exhibits, workshops, and arts-based activities.
To recognize outstanding achievements in the arts for and by young people.
