Through storytelling and song encompassing gospel, bluegrass, Mexican ballads, and more, The Saga of a Black Cowboy chronicles the journey of Blue, an escaped Louisiana slave whose westward ride to freedom crosses the paths of other men and women of color, each with moving tales of their own.
