About the Program
Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic fairy tale, in which each character is represented by a different instrument, becomes a special Thanksgiving weekend concert event. Performing a beautiful version for wind instruments, the NSO Woodwind Quintet (Alice Kogan Weinreb, flute; Kathryn Meany Wilson, oboe; Eugene Mondie, clarinet; Truman Harris, bassoon; Laurel Bennert Ohlson, horn) and a narrator bring to life the enchanting story of young Peter as he tries to capture a fearsome wolf.Recommended for ages 5 & up
