Wheelchair Symbol Courtesy Wheelchairs
Courtesy wheelchairs are available for our patrons and visitors while they are at the Center. Wheelchairs are available by reservation and are located at the Visitors Center in the Hall of States. To reserve a wheelchair, please call the Friends of the Kennedy Center Volunteers at (202) 416-8340, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Wheelchairs with elevating leg rests are available upon request.

One hour before show time, Kennedy Center doormen are available to assist patrons with disabilities from the front of the building to the theaters. Ushers in the theater will assist patrons to their seats or wheelchair accessible locations. It is strongly recommended that patrons who do not normally use a wheelchair bring a friend or companion along to assist them in maneuvering the wheelchair around the Kennedy Center. Please note that staff, volunteers, doormen, and ushers are not able to assist patrons in transferring or to provide personal attendant services.

Parking Symbol Parking
Parking spaces for persons with disabilities are available in the Kennedy Center Garage for vehicles bearing valid DMV handicapped parking stickers or license plates on a first-come, first-served basis for vehicles with a clearance of less than 6 feet. Please ask the garage personnel to direct you to these parking spaces. For information on van accessible spaces, call the Kennedy Center Garage at (202) 416-7980, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
